Ventura teen charged after electric motorcycle chase
A Ventura juvenile faces two felony counts and several other charges after a June 10 chase on an electric motorcycle. Authorities say the rider went the wrong way on streets and a State Route 126 ramp, reaching about 60 mph.

The Ventura County district attorney's office filed eight counts against the unidentified minor, including felony evasion and wrong way evasion. The teen is scheduled for arraignment July 20 at the Juvenile Justice Center in Oxnard.
Police first tried to stop the rider during an electric bike enforcement operation at Ventura Community Park. The route later went through Kimball Road, State Route 126, Victoria Avenue and ended near Buena High School, before officers found the abandoned motorcycle and later cited the teen when he returned with his stepfather to retrieve it.
