The contractor building LAX's automated people mover sued the city of Los Angeles amid a long dispute over delays. Testing continues with no clear passenger opening date.

LAX Integrated Express Solutions filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court against Los Angeles World Airports, the city department that runs LAX. The company says LAWA concealed facts about delays, changed drawings and created barriers that slowed the automated people mover project.
The 2.25 mile electric train, known as Skylink, was once expected to open in 2024 but has been pushed back repeatedly. The project is central to LAX's effort to reduce traffic around the terminal loop and connect airport travelers to Metro service before major events later this decade.
