Raman narrows Pratt lead in LA mayor count
Nithya Raman cut Spencer Pratt's advantage in the race for second place in the Los Angeles mayoral primary. Mayor Karen Bass remained first as county officials kept processing ballots.

Los Angeles Councilmember Nithya Raman moved closer to Spencer Pratt in the fight for the second runoff spot against Mayor Karen Bass. Friday's update showed Bass at 35%, Pratt at 28% and Raman at 25%, with Raman trailing Pratt by 20,672 votes.
County election officials will accept ballots postmarked by election day through Tuesday and plan daily result updates through June 12. The count matters because Bass is headed to a November runoff unless the final tally gives any candidate a majority.
